Welcome to the Georgia Cotton Commission’s blog site. The Commission is Georgia’s cotton producer advocacy organization.
Our mission is to help
Georgia’s cotton producers, through our programs of research, promotion and education to produce a high-yielding, high quality and profitable crop while raising awareness and the demand for cotton and its products.
The Commission’s programs are funded entirely by growers themselves via a per-bale assessment. We serve as stewards of these dollars and invest them in these programs to benefit our growers and secure the future of the cotton industry. Program decisions are made by the Commission’s board of directors of seven producing members and two ex-officio members.
Through this blog, we intend to provide information relevant to Georgia’s cotton industry to our cotton growers, and other interested parties. We invite and encourage you to comment; we are interested to know what is on your mind.
